Simple Family Love

Every family I photograph teaches me something. Through the lens of my camera I learn big lessons of love and parenting. I am very thankful to each and every family for sharing and trusting me to document their time together.

Today I want to share with you very special pictures filled with joy, big smiles, messy hair and sandy toes. I love these pictures, because they are about childhood, about laughing, playing and being carefree with your children. I am proud to be the one to photograph these moments for this amazing family.

Taste of Ice-cream on One Summer Afternoon

I am excited to announce that together with my fellow photographers I’ve started a 5-minute project. Through a small 5-minute window you’ll see bits and pieces of my world: my family, my travels, everyday joys and worries. Inspired by 5minuteproject.com I will be taking 5 minutes worth of pictures at different times of the day or night. Love for photography, desire to observe life without interruption – to feel the moment and translate it into pictures and keeping these memories for my family is what is driving this project. I will be capturing faces, details and surroundings as they naturally unfold in front of me.

Today’s little story is about my son Raymond and our fun and messy afternoon on 29th of December 2014 at our home in Sydney.

More of the pictures you can see on my Facebook Page.

When Home is Your Favourite Place to Be

I was absolutely thrilled to be invited to the new home of my fellow photographer and amazing woman Natalia. She wanted to have family pictures in the comfort of their new home. And oh my god! I had one of the most enjoyable photoshoots ever! Not just because it was easy and fun to shoot these warm and sincere people; I found it deeply meaningful and intimate that they wanted pictures to be taken in their favourite place to be – a big blooming garden they designed and are looking after purely by themselves. Natalia, Sergei and their little daughter Veronica are such friendly people! I felt so welcome in their house. I feel blessed meeting such talented people and now good friends!

Our greatest strength lies in our tenderness

This magical family radiated calmness, gentleness and tranquility. It was enchanting to watch how tender they were with each other. These three were truly one and it seemed like they communicated without words. This was one of the sessions when I had no need to give any guidance or interrupt them. All I had to do was just let them be and observe their love unfolding in front of my camera.

The Great Family of Five

I believe that true beauty is harmony. By watching this family – the looks they gave each other, the little gestures, jokes and smiles they exchanged during the photoshoot; made me think they are pieces of a puzzle, which work perfectly together. I know how important respect and love is in any relationship, but to me they were the living example of these two vital things. On that day I observed and learned what strong family ties are about.

Indian Summer Family Session

In Australia autumn is not an excuse not to go to the beach.  It’s been exceptionally warm in May in Sydney – beautiful Indian Summer!
Nadya wanted to take pictures with her kids before she departed to UK and voila! I found a cozy little beach in Sydney Eastern Suburbs with parked boats and pretty cliffs, so off we went to take pictures.

Autumn Family Session in Melbourne

A gorgeous family of travellers and happiness seekers, who this time happened to be in Melbourne at the same time as me. :) Their children and true wunderkinds, who already speak three languages: Chinese, English and Russian. This will definitely broaden their horizons and open many doors in their future. Way to go!

Soul Meets Body

This was the first time I travelled inland of Australia. We drove for around 150 kilometres from Sydney and reached this serene gorgeous property in Southern Highlands, NSW.  And I must tell you, it turned out to be no less beautiful than the Australian coastline! I loved green valleys, curvy smooth hill lines, the play of light on its slopes. This is the type of landscape I feel blessed contemplating.

I did my best to convey peaceful close-to-nature meditative state of this place and of a gorgeous pregnant woman in the pictures. Samantha was 30 weeks pregnant, and she was looking amazing! Sam is an athlete and her lifestyle is very healthy and active. Truly, she is an inspiration to many. No doubts, her pregnancy was a breeze. I wish her easy labour and her little one to be the happiest baby on the block! :)

Suitcase Baby

What a pleasure it was to shoot this little angel. She was all smiles and excitement for the whole session. One of my favourite things about this shoot was the effort her parents went to in organising all the decorations and costumes for her. […]
